Resource Wealth. Regional Collaboration. Investment Opportunities
The 5th Tanzania Energy Cooperation Summit 2024 (TECS) highlighted Tanzania's potential and advancement towards a regional power market. The summit fostered a solid partnership between EnergyNet and the East African Community (EAC), showcasing the commitment to driving progress in the energy sector across East Africa.
We are now back in Arusha for the East Africa Energy Cooperation Summit (EA-ECS), which will explore the region's numerous investment opportunities, leverage its vast natural resources, and strengthen cross-border relationships.
Regional collaboration will also represent a key element, as it enhances energy development and offers long-term energy security solutions.
Topics under discussion included:
- Roadmap for regional collaboration and its importance for both energy security and sector growth
- Strategies to fast-track projects
- Opportunities in Power Generation, focusing on renewables, geothermal, and gas-to-power initiatives
- Capitalizing on excess power through cross-border projects or by engaging off-takers, such as the mining industry and digital infrastructure sectors
- Interactive Country Updates - private and public sector representatives will engage in boardroom sessions to explore the latest advancements and roadmaps in specific countries across the region
Hope to See You in Arusha in 2025!
